Why Do I need A
Website?
If you run your own business
and you need to ask that question, you may be beyond help.
I do not care if you sell
pizzas or candles. If you have a product you need customers and
those customers are attained via advertising. A website is the
most cost effective advertising you can buy.
If you printed a 3 page color
brochure, you could pay between $2500.00 and $10,000.00 to have
it designed and get 1000 units printed. Then you need to get it
to your customers, at 37 cents for stamps, 10 cents for an
envelope you are at nearly half a dollar just to mail the flyer.
Even with the cheapest printing you would be hard pressed to get
the cost below $1/unit delivered.
Take that to the next level
and print a 25 page catalog. Most businesses can not even afford
to do it.
Now compare that to the
website. You can get in for under 10 bucks. Build hundreds of
pages with thousands of pictures and immediately have it
accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.
So what is the down side?
There isn't one!
The only issue we see is the "DREAMISTS".
The people that think they will put up a page and think they
will make a million dollars. Of course they wont. And either will
you.
But then again printing a
catalog wont make you rich. Or will it?
It could if you can get enough
people to buy. The key is to get the catalog out to your
customers. The same is true when the catalog is online. You need
to get people to your catalog.
Just as your printed catalog,
people will not show up at your door to pick it up. Oh, sure some
will. And some people will find your website via the search
engines. Just not enough to make you significant amount of money.
The point is, you need to use
your website as a tool.
A recent survey of American
households showed that 80% of homes with Internet access use the
Internet rather than the yellow pages to find local businesses.
And 100% of people 18 and under did not use the phone book at all.
They grew up with cell phones and th Internet. That means if you
do not have a website, you forfeit that possible business.
For $20/month for an average
website, you have to be either stupid not to have one. Or cheap
and stupid. The mere fact that you are online reading this is
proof that websites work.
Just because your website is
not pumping money into your bank account does not mean you don't
need it. In todays economy you can not run a business with out a
website. It is as essential as having a phone.
The longer you wait to get
online the harder it becomes and the less likely the searches
will include your website. Procrastination may have cost you
dearly if you have been operating with out a website. You can
wait a bit longer, or just wait until you go out of business
completely.
Hey, don't take our word for
it. Just because we have made millions of dollars online. You
probably wouldn't have made any of that anyway.
