Websites are not just for kids!

If I hear another person tell me that their child is building or managing their business website my head might explode.

There seems to be this belief that kids know how to build website and not adults. I don't know where that came from other than being started by a bunch of lazy parents.

Are you kidding? You kids know more about your business than you do? Are you that lazy or pathetic that you are going to let your 12 year old run your business?

Look, I know technology is difficult to understand, we all have problems programming the VCR. But VCR's have not been around for years and the kids that were building websites on the onset of the Internet are now grown up and have their own kids and now they expect their kids to help them with their websites.

The fact is, the Internet has been around for a full generation and if you plan on being part of todays business world then you had better get with the program and learn how to use it.

I don't remember learning in school that when I became an adult it would give me an excuse not to learn or not do anything. I though we were learning so we could do things when we grow up. Isn't that the point of going to school?

So now that you are grown up, why are you so lazy?

Don't call us an tell us there is no way you can learn it because you are XX years old. People call and tell me, I can't do this I am this old and i tell them, I am older than that and I built pageBuzz. so how is age an excuse?

We have 90+ year old people building websites and running businesses on pageBuzz. I don't want to hear that you are 50 and there is no way you can do this. It is just not an excuse for being lazy or impatient.

Did you tell your mom or dad that when you were 16 you were too old to learn to drive? NO, because you wanted to drive.

Did you tell anyone when you turned 21 you were too old to learn to drink? No, because you wanted to drink.

Did you tell your employer that you were too old to learn the job? No, because you need the job to pay your bills.

So why are you whining that you are too old to build a website? The only possible answer is you are just lazy. So lets agree that you are not too old or too stupid but you are lazy and don't care enough to do it yourself.

Well, that is not a problem because for every person that is too lazy to build a website there are 10 people that are not. 10 people that will take the time and make the effort and not look for excuses on why their website is 5 pathetic pages or nothing.

There is no DNA Gene that dissolves when you are 18 that prohibits you from building a website. Your 12 year old is not smarter than you or better than you at using a computer. So get your head out of your ass, close down your facebook page and Internet chatrooms and start working on you website.

We have made it easy, simple and fast. You wont have to spend weeks learning technology, just type a page as easily as you type an email. If you can't write 20 or 30 pages about your business then you don't know enough to be in business.

If you can't write a page about your business, the history and give your customers confidence in you, then you wont have any customers.

It really is that simple. Without a website, a good website in todays market, you can start kissing your profits goodbye.

If your business is declining it is most likely because you have not kept up with the times. If your business was VCR repair then by now you would be out of business. You have to keep up, transition your business with the times and update.

I don't care if you are a programmer moving from COBOL to PHP or you are a landscaper moving from a push mower to composite technology and epoxy resins in landscape design. We all grow, we all embrace technology in our business because we need to to stay in business.

The Internet is an important part of todays market. You can't function without it. So stop complaining that it is too complicated, too hard and get going on your website.

There really is no excuse for not being able to build a website. If you can't find the time to do it, then your business will eventually fail just like refusing to use any new technology.

Since when did getting older mean "I Give Up!"?

As you age you learn, accumulate knowledge and grow intellectually. Some one with 30 years business experience is a whole lot smarter than a 10th grader.

So stop with all this "I AM TOO OLD TO BUILD A WEBSITE" crap and just do it!
