Why should you use
pageBuzz.com to host your website?
We have written countless
pages, article and produced videos with reasons why you should
use us, our technology and service. We have shown that we stand
far about the average service. But lets look back at the last few
years and compare ourselves to our competition.
If you take a look at our website updates page,
you will see we have actively added program and updated existing
programs on a regular basis.
You have to understand that
the Internet is an evolving entity. Operating systems change,
browsers change and technology changes. people look for updated
layouts and the opportunity to have the same style website as
their competitors.
Businesses that started with
us years ago have grown, need better reports, more shopping cart
features and faster tools for promotion.
To stay in business in any
industry you need to update, expand and change as the market
changes. Anyone that has been in business for a few years
understands. Companies like IBM have evolved from typewriters and
mechanical cash registers to computers and point of sale software
custom tailored to fit many different businesses.
In the over a decade we have
been in business the rules have changed quite frequently and our
customers have evolved with us from a one time fill in the box
type page building to our current drag and drop page editing. Our
original site builder was based on the existing companies in 2003
that offered hosting and has evolved into a comprehensive Content
Management System with advanced tools and ecommerce features that
no other company can offer even today.
But as we look back at the
companies we examined at in 2003 when we decided to enter the
small business hosting market they have the exact same product
they had in 2003. No change, no updates, no movement at all.
So people that built a website
in 2004 have exactly what they started with, now dated, old and
with very few features.
Or customers have been greeted
with expanded shopping features, affiliate programs, marketing
and sales tools, image management tools, deluxe form, layout and
menu builders that were just not possible with the browser
technology in 2003. Our customers sites have changed as we added
new updated shopping carts, review programs, calendars, animated
titles, slide show builders and web 2.0 elements. Our customers
simply had to select the new options and their designs were up to
date.
We are currently working on a
drag and drop design feature for the websites that will allow
shoppers to customize products like tshirts, mugs, key chains or
any product that includes customization right in the shopping
cart. While we have no delivery date for this advanced feature we
continue to push the line and build new tools for our user and
their end users.
We just can't say the same
about our competitors. Their systems are stale, hard to use and
have not changed in many years. That is handicapping the people
that have spent time building websites on their servers. To get
updated, they have to create their own programing, hire
programmers, designers and webmasters to bring them up to date.
Unfortunately, it if often too late to get back in the game. When
business starts declining online, it is hard to turn that around.
Our system has evolved so much
we build most of our websites now on pageBuzz.com and our
original hosting service could now be a customer on our own
platform. It is that powerful.
When you look at our
technology, speed and uptime, you have to understand we are
serious about our product. As much as we have added that people
see, there is twice as much on the back end that people do not
see. Security upgrades, bot blocking software, redundant failover
systems to insure maximum uptime and data integrity.
If you look at any of
our competitors and ask what have you done for me lately?
I think you will find that that have done what they always do,
take your money, provide a good service, but it is the same old
service they had years ago.
I must also point out that our
price has increased over the years because our market and
products have changed. More technology means more cost, new
equipment and more people developing software. However, we have
never raised any of our existing customers fees. We do not
believe that anyone should pay for something they did not ask for
or may not need. While new customers have hundreds of tools that
existing customers did not have in 2003, they are more than happy
to pay today's price. But we have maintained all prices with
existing customers, they pay today whet they did when they signed
up even if that was nearly 10 years ago.
That is a big deal when you
run a business to know your hosting cost will not change.
Something you can depend on regardless of how much new technology
we bring to the table. After all, does it matter if we add $100,000
in new hardware? Unless we bought it from you, your business does
not benefit aside from having a faster more reliable website. But
that does not increase your bottom line, does it?
You wont find another hosting
company more actively developing tools for their customers. In
fact, most don't have any type of site builder and if they do, it
was likely built by an outside software vendor. So they have no
control of updates or input on what the updates might be.
As long as software companies
are getting paid, they have no incentive to update their products
and with no choices, customers stick with what they have.
In our case, we are dealing
with customers daily, we answer the phones, so we hear first hand
what they need or want. Sometimes it is a simple fix or add that
we can do in minutes and other times it takes weeks to make the
updates. In every case, if it makes sense and is possible we try
to add it to existing programs or add new programs with expanded
features.
When our customers hire
webmasters to update designs we work with them to provide the
advanced tools they need to integrate their designs. Often adding
replacement strings for template building, provisions for
alternate file formats or simpler tools to allow customization of
shopping carts and program driven pages.
Of course not every change we
make is added to our website hosting updates board, some may be very minor or not worthy of posting as
a major update. So there is much more going on than we post, and
even more we never discuss. But over time we have evolved into an
amazing platform with tools for top developers, programmer and
most of all, for the average user with no website building
experience.
Our ability to expand is
extremely important when new browsers and operating systems come
out and websites just don't work on them, or you find a bug in a
program. These updates are normally done overnight when possible
at no cost to you. Compared to using open source programming
offered by many hosts that is unsupported and requires hiring
outside programmers to make changes when technology changes.
Many sites just go out of
business because they can't afford to keep up with technology.
Our customers can sleep tight and know we are there in all cases
when a problem occurs that is nobody's fault other than the
changing technology.
We have expanded with a sales
agents program paying nearly $150.00 for every referral, a privately labeled hosting reseller solution and
tools that have drawn in hoards of customers leaving their
unchanged web hosting system. Yet we still maintain personal
support and the one on one help that small businesses need.
It is impossible to guess
where we will be 5 or 10 years from now because we don't know how
the Internet will evolve, but we will evolve with it and quite
rapidly and smoothly without any interruption to our clients.
I can only guess based on 10
years of selling the same software, that our competitors may
still be selling 20 year old technology and designs.
I personally can sing our high
praises on our system ease of use and level of technology, but I
can't think of anything more important than the fact that we are
constantly changing to support your business as the Internet
changes. So you never have to be worried about being behind or
dated in technology.
