Just because we have
tools in the site builder, does not mean you have to use them!
We offer a huge suite of tools in the
online website builder. We have several page editors, images
tools, and programs that use preset templated designs.
But just because we have the tools
on the sitebuilder does not me you have to use them.
In fact we expect people not to use them
when they have other options.
For example, the titlespace builder is
amazing. It allows you to add text, images and graphics to a
titlespace or masthead in seconds. But it is no replacement for
Adobe Photoshop.
It is certainly better than anything else
offered at any other company with online tools, but it is also
simplified so the average user can understand how to use it.
We don't have things like:
- drop shadows
- the ability to draw vector shapes
- circles
- or even lines.
As easy as it would be to add those
features, the tool becomes that much more complex to use.
So we have kept it simple.
But if you have access to any version of
Adobe photoshop and know how to use it, we would encourage you to
do that and just upload the finished image to your website.
We don't make tools to restrict you, we
make tools to help you.
Average users will enjoy how quickly they
can add text to an image, how simple and fast the entire process
is. But designer need more advanced tools and those are typically
tools you would install on your own computer.
We have too many people that think they
have to use the online tools and that is not true. It is just one
option for you, an easy and simple option but never intended to
replace more comprehensive tools that you might have paid
hundreds of dollars for.
The same is true for the programs for
example the shopping cart or car dealer gallery. We provide
preset layouts that can easily be changed by changing some of the
settings in the configuration pages.
But anyone that has any experience will see
that we offer full access to each of those templates, so they can
be modified or replaced with something else completely.
Webmasters and site owners can take our
designs and throw them out the window and insert their own
designs.
That is the great thing about data driven
systems, the only thing that has to remain the same is the data.
You are never limited with the design style, the layout or any of
the elements of the page.
Yes, 90% of the people use the defaults
because it is easy, but if that is not the look you are after,
you can change it.
We even offer to change it for you, so
there is really no excuse for not having exactly what you need.
We pride ourselves on making the system as
ueerfriendly as possible even though many people do struggle with
technology we have simplified it quite a bit. But in many cases,
it is too simple for some users and that is why we have advanced
tools as well.
We hope that people will take the
opportunity to use outside tools, to modify templates, create
custom data fields for shopping carts and other programs so they
can elevate their designs and end product.
I for one has spend a huge amount of time
integrating the tools we have and the ability to bypass them as
well. So when people call us and say they can't build the
titlepsace they want because our builder does not have the right
features I ask why they think they need to use our tools?
It would be crazy for us to limit users to
only the tools we can run on web browsers. We want your design to
be truly unique, custom and have all the elements you need.
We have on many occasions added features to
allow people to do things that we had not thought of until they
asked for it.
That is what pageBuzz is all about, giving
you tools that make it simple and easy to get what you want.
But if you have a designer make a page for
you, there is no problem uploading that page to pageBuzz as long
as they make it compatible with your programs.
If we limited people to our tools, we would
not have the vast array of website that we do have, from car
dealers to doctors and lawyers to handymen and house cleaners.
So if you ever get stuck, think you can do
something or the tools we have just fall short, ask us for help,
we almost always have a bypass for the online tools with the
exception of modifying the actual programming that runs the
system.
