So what if
pageBuzz is easier to use?
If I hear another
webmaster tell me that pageBuzz is only better because it is
easier to use I will smack them.
That is the whole point, it
was built to be easier to use, so kudos to us, we did what we
were trying to do.
Now we get all the naysayers
that try to put us down because our website management console is
the easiest system to use online. None easier, none more user
friendly.
I guess it is not such a bad
thing being blamed for doing what you do better than anyone else.
So what is the rub anyway? Why
would anyone care that we have an easy to use system?
Hey, we have talked about it
over and over, if you can do it yourself, you don't need
webmasters, that means you save money and they lose money. Simple
economics.

The systems was built around
website novices. We started with simple select a template, the
pages you wanted and fill in a few boxes. That was great, easy
but gave limited ability to the website owners.
So we evolved into a better
website building platform now here on pageBuzz.com that allowed
more advanced integration by webmasters and advanced users while
preserving the simplicity of use for the basic users.
Of course every change we made
was run though the loop by our customers pointing out every
mistake we made or feature that they wanted.
By working with thousands of
customers that had absolutely no website experience we were able
to build a system that made sense to the average person.
Add a page, means add a page,
upload an image, means upload an image. We don't use cryptic
terms like "insert html" or modify the javascript or
PHP tags.
We use simple pint and click
tools that show previews of menus, pages and programs. This makes
it easy to understand even for the novice.
The fact that we answer our
own phones was a blessing, because we got to talk with every
single end user and that allowed us to make interfaces that were
not complicated and just made sense.
Did we get it right every time?
NO. Many interfaces were scrapped and replaced, so tools were
eliminated and they brought back. It is a learning process but
after 10 years we are very well educated in what needs to be done
to make it simple.
No other system has our
insight or background in their development and that is why our
system is so much different than all the rest, so much easier and
so much more practical.
Loaded with
Programs
pageBuzz is loaded with
programs. Over the years, we have added everything that anyone
asked for.
"I want this",
"I want that", day after day and as we added more, they
asked for more.
We need an
affiliate programs so we can pay commissions. DONE!
We need a wish
list for customers. DONE!
We need a way to
offer buy one get one free. DONE!
We need a blog.
DONE!
We want customers
to be able to review items. DONE!
We want more and
more, DONE and DONE!
We just kept adding more
programs, more features and more tools to keep everyone happy.
We added the estore shopping
cart for an updated web 2.0 look then later we added the simple
cart for a toned down appearance as designs evolved away from the
web 2.0 looks. Each program has been updated with different
templates so the designs are current and by having 4 unique
shopping carts we can provide anyone a different look and option
for their online store.
By creating unique programs
for used car dealers for the same $20 we cleaned up in that
market. Adding the lest expensive system for independant real
estate agents also gave us a big boost.
Each time we added new
programs we fond new markets and new customers that we did not
realize were out there.
So of course we keep adding,
tools like availability calendars, simple calendars, image
composite tools and website page editors like the drag and drop webpage editor.
Multiple Page
Editors
We also don't limit anyone to
one tool. Currently, just for editing the pages we offer 5
different page editors online. Of course anyone is free to use
any outside editor as well, but with 5 editors who would need to?
We have the simple editors,
which is just a fill in the box style. The Drag & Drop page
editor which is just what it sounds like, simple to use, better
for everyone. And we have 3 traditional WYSIWYG editor following
conventional HTML rules.
Whichever you choose, it is
easy and fast to edit pages.
We have also set the system to
tell you which editor you used, that way you can't make a mistake
and use the wrong editor on the wrong page without being at least
warned. So it is difficult to make mistakes.
We have even added in a check
when you delete images if they are used on pages. So before you
can delete an image, the system checks and tells you if it is
used on any of your website pages and warned that deleting it
will remove it from the page.
Those types of tools are
extremely useful when you really don't understand the impact of
removing files.
This is all stuff we realized
by working with inexperienced users.
Easy to Use Tools
We had to make tools that made
sense. Tools that anyone could use and that could be used on
every computer. When a tool did not work on one computer we
either had to fix it or remove it. When 20 people called in one
day having trouble with a new tool, we had to make it easier or
we would be forever explaining how to use it.
Tools were tweaked to a point
where nobody needed help and everyone was able to use them.
Drag and Drop
Slideshow Builders
Tools like the slideshow
builders. We did not have these in 2004, you want a slideshow,
get the code and write it into the page.
But so many people wanted
slideshows we created drag and drop slideshow builders to make it
easy and to support as many photos a they needed. We added
different transitions and even applied the tools to the
titlespace so they can animate the title of the page.
Now with the ability to make
slideshows people wanted to embellish images. So we added special
effects, frames, drop shadows and even Polaroid effects. Then we
added the ability to drag and drop text over the images and save
it.
Every new tool led to more new
tools with new ideas.
Fast Image
Uploading
pageBuzz allows for extremely
fast image uploading and use. Just upload it to the website and
insert it in the page. Using the editors that can be done in just
one click and then one more click to save the page.

Realtime Changes
& Updates
All changes and updates are in
real time. So unlike most other site builders that require
publishing of pages, we just cut out the middle man.
When you edit a page and save
it, it gets saved to your website. So as soon as you save it, the
