Building Custom Templates

pageBuzz.com website building tools allow you to create custom templates using programs like Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Publisher, Coffeecup and so on to build your very own design and upload the template as your website design.

The process is simple for anyone with a basic knowledge of HTML and website editing. We use simple replacement strings that are added to the template to be replaced by functions such as the category menus, page content and user defined colors and preferences.

For example, you would build the basic page using your favorite WYSIWYG Editor. Then add in "!!MAINCONTENT!!" where you want the main page content to appear as shown in the image below.

Then the html and image files are uploaded to the website, the template is selected and POW! You now have your own custom design.

Sure, its more work that a point and click, but it should be that simple for an experienced webmaster to convert any current template to our format or build one from scratch.

We provide several tools, tutorials and the information you need to install your very own template.

For advanced developers the template can be completely flexible with as many or as few functions controlled by the end user. This allows any website designer to limit what can and cannot be changed and insure the integrity of the design.

This also allows any website owner the ability to hire any outside website designer to build their website and use the existing content and programming. The cost of building a template is a small fraction of what it would cost to have a complete website built.
